Im am getting a new camera soon and i am in love with both the Nikon D60 and the Canon Rebel XTi!
Does anyone have any other suggestions or any information about these cameras they think should be known?

wait for a D5000?
looks like it uses the same sensor as the D90 and D300. |

If you haven't already looked, this is the track record of these two on DPC
D60
XTi
But keep in mind that the XTi has about 10 times as many owners as the D60 (which by itself may also be informative).

| I'd go with a D80 and 50mm f/1.8. You can get that for right around $500 if you're frugal enough. |
