Technical parts

I knew for sometime that in Photoshop CS i can work my photography in 16 bits per channel. I never felt the need to use this until this week when i started working on a photo that did a stair-like color gradient. Working in 16 bits per channel solved the problem ang it do make more beautifull pictures with vivid color. Here are the problems. When I convert them back to 8 bits per channel I loose some of the quality I was able to get when is was working in 16b/chan. . Photoshop don't offer to save a JPEG in 16b/chan. and both DPchallenge and DPCPrints doesn't support TIFF format...
Here are the questions:

1. Is there any way to fit 16 bits/channel in jpeg format?

2. Say i'm saving a file in TIFF format and in getting it printed at the local photo store wich have a Fuji Frontier. Is this printer hable to reproduce 16 bits/channel colors?

Ethical part

Let say i'm selling a print outside DPCPrints, what should I do.

1. Purchase the prints my self at my base price, selling the prints, put the money in my pockets and pretend that DPCPrints is making profits of the base price...

or

2. purchase the prints from my storefront at the price asked from a regular customer, referring me from myself to get the extra 25% benefits and be happy with that profit making.

Thanks in advance for all the good answers!!

Technical:

PNG and JPEG2000 can handle 16 bits per color, but regular JPEG cannot.

I don't know the answer about the printer.

Ethical: You don't have a contract or obligation with DPCPrints to pay them commissions on prints you sell yourself. And you shouldn't feel guilty; they are still making a profit on their part--the print.
