Yep--Love it!! Works as advertised, and the only "issue" that I have is when dialing into something where I need to enter codes, etc., I usually have to use the on-computer-screen keypad rather than the one on my phone. Not sure why, but it is not a big issue for me the way that I use the phone. Nice way to save cell phone minutes, not have a landline monthly bill. |

really? a friend told me about this and i figured there was some serious issues with it, like software glitches or more unwanted junk mail/email/faxes etc.
can u use it to do faxes? |

can't say about faxes--I've only used it for voice calls, but I guess in principle a fax should work--again, I haven't tried that.
When I got mine, downloaded a firmware update when setting up the account, chose my area code, set up voice mail, etc. Tested the voice mail for fun, but I only use this for outgoing calls (I don't leave my computer on all the time) so I don't give the number out to folks. But I telecommute and wanted a cheap way to call into meetings at work--this does that well. If your Internet service is solid this works great. If your internet goes up and down a lot, this might not be for you.
I bought a 20 dollar wireless "landline" phone at Target, plugged a headset into it, and I can wander all over the house and stay on a call, so I am not tethered to my computer.
Works on mac and pc, too. |

this sounds good then. i'd save 100 bucks a month (or rather spend it on more gear.) |

free trial period I think--return for refund sorta thing--so you can be sure it works for your needs before you cancel the other service. I've been using it for about 9 months now with only those minor issues I noted. |

I always thought this was a crock too. Having only seen it opposite Ron Popiel and that Oxy Clean guy on TV in the middle of the night didn't help its credibility much. The fact that this actually works just threw my entire late night universe upside down. |

Yea, I actually got it before they started those cheesy commercials--I had seen the product described a year earlier online as in the works, releasing soon, so I just checked for it now and again. Those commercials would have put me off it for sure, if I had not already had one.
But I use it routinely with no problems. |

well i got hooked up this week and so far it's great. sounds clear and strong. feels like my regular land-line phone. only two slight issues that i've noticed (and they may be my own personal problems), one, the dial tone isn't immediately available when my computer is in sleep mode. it has to wake up first, only takes a few seconds. and two, i have to dial the area code for all my outgoing calls. not sure if this is the way it has to be, i haven't figured everything out completely. i really like it and now i'm going to cancel my hundred-dollar landline, thank-you very much. i just saw that they are selling them at walmart now too. |

Bought mine at Radio Shack a week ago and just canceled my main line. Mine works great. I like the fact that when the computer is off,no one can reach me. The MP3 voicemail feature is neat. It will email me the message about 2 seconds after it is recorded.
Nothing but praise so far. Don't see how they can even register the numbers for 20 bux a year. |

Yup, the commercials did nothing to instill my confidence. When I got mine I figured I'd better be ready for a 40 buck write off. But so far I've been pleasantly surprised. |
