Yep--Love it!! Works as advertised, and the only "issue" that I have is when dialing into something where I need to enter codes, etc., I usually have to use the on-computer-screen keypad rather than the one on my phone. Not sure why, but it is not a big issue for me the way that I use the phone. Nice way to save cell phone minutes, not have a landline monthly bill.

can't say about faxes--I've only used it for voice calls, but I guess in principle a fax should work--again, I haven't tried that.

When I got mine, downloaded a firmware update when setting up the account, chose my area code, set up voice mail, etc. Tested the voice mail for fun, but I only use this for outgoing calls (I don't leave my computer on all the time) so I don't give the number out to folks. But I telecommute and wanted a cheap way to call into meetings at work--this does that well. If your Internet service is solid this works great. If your internet goes up and down a lot, this might not be for you.

I bought a 20 dollar wireless "landline" phone at Target, plugged a headset into it, and I can wander all over the house and stay on a call, so I am not tethered to my computer.

Works on mac and pc, too.

free trial period I think--return for refund sorta thing--so you can be sure it works for your needs before you cancel the other service. I've been using it for about 9 months now with only those minor issues I noted.

I always thought this was a crock too. Having only seen it opposite Ron Popiel and that Oxy Clean guy on TV in the middle of the night didn't help its credibility much. The fact that this actually works just threw my entire late night universe upside down.
