Gee, two for the price of one sounds good to me. Tickets are hidden under the red bin outside the airport....

I looked outside my airport and we don't have any red bins. Screen sharing is a great option if you have leopard.

What's screen sharing?

It will let someone else log into your computer remotely and take control (assuming your router and firewall is set to allow it).

I am not a fan of the Mac, but I had so many problems with it in my year of living dangerously, I learned a lot about trying to fix one.

I suggest you backup your data to an external drive, if you haven't already, then run an Archive and Install. That basically reinstalls the OS fresh; certain applications may need to be reinstalled after that. While it might be too much hammer for a little nail, it's pretty painless, and if it fixes your problems, your good to go.

It shouldn't touch your data, but backup is always advised!

Screen sharing is when someone else is able to help you remotely solve your problem by viewing and controlling your computer. You need to give that person permission and as Neil said make sure you have everything backed up. I have worked with Mac for 19 years and have not had an issue I couldn't resolve.

About screen sharing
With Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard you can connect to another computer on your network and display that computer’s screen on your computer. You can access the other computer as if it was the computer you were using. While you share the computer’s screen, you control everything that happens on that computer, such as opening documents or applications; opening, moving, or closing windows; and even shutting off the computer.

You can also set up this computer to share your screen with another computer on your network.

Screen sharing can be useful if you need to access a computer at home while you are away from home. It can also be useful if you’re trying to solve a problem on someone else’s computer, or you want to collaborate with someone on a project, such as building a website or creating a presentation.

PS - You do not need to set up any fancy network ports as long as you have either a .Mac or .Me account or a free AOL Instant Messenger account. If you want to PM me I can think I can assist you in your troubles.

Aloha,
Sean

Yep, iChat is the vehicle and one needs an instant messaging ID that works with it in order to use it. Great feature and doesn't require router and network or firewall changes. Use it all the time.
