This is a pretty indulgent and childish thread butâ€Â¦
Here̢۪s my third entry on DPC for Proportion.
I hadn't seen that there was another (although quite
different) calving cow in the serendipity challenge
when I entered this one.
I thought it contained everything a photo should.
In my humble opinion, it has impact, it makes the viewer look and
then look again, it̢۪s exciting, it̢۪s bizarre, most of all it̢۪s interesting
to look at. I think it̢۪s the best picture I̢۪ve ever taken, it certainly fit
the challenge – I scored a 4.5
I’m looking for some feedback – how could I have improved the shot?
It̢۪s a little overexposed perhaps, and there are some lighting issues.
If you voted low – why? Would you have voted higher if you hadn't seen
a similar subject for Serendipity? If you just think it sucked, go
right ahead and tell me.
Thank you, budokan

I agree with the commenter who said during the challenge that you needed all the cow and no sky. The horizon is distracting from the subject of the photo and carries your eyes away from the main subject. They compete too much for attention. The legs are needed to make this photo work with impact. Those are the suggestion that would make this more powerful to me. It is an unusual capture! |
