Just got my microdrive 540 Raw pics!! Cool. Was wondering if anyone knows if I were to screw around with the sector size when formatting the microdrive, would that help or hurt the write speed. It's a little slow, but it is HUGE!

I don't think you would significantly affect the write speed by changing the size of the allocation units. You're writing really big files, and the speed of that type of read or write is usually not much affected by the allocation unit size. You might gain a bit by optimizing interleaving, but that would again only net a small gain for large files, and then only if it was really suboptimal to begin with.
My advice is don't bother.

Thanks kirbic I'd heard somewhere that that might boost the write speed but was unsure about it, and I was wondering if it was worth the effort. Looking at your profile, I'll take your word for it.
