i've gotten to the point now where i want to print and sell or give away copies of my work rather than just have digital images. I have only printed a couple of my photos so far. i am pretty much a moron when it comes to getting images to paper. i know there are lots of companies that do printing and sell various products for your images but i'm looking for a resource for knowledge about "presenting" images. i guess it would be the graphic arts side of showing the images. like how to balance the image on a page in a book or on a website, or properly choose materials for display in a gallery on a wall, or in portfolios, etc. colors, papers, frames, lighting etc.
does anyone know of a website, a blog maybe, that deals primarily with this subject. with articles by experts, links to supplies and resources, lessons and videos, reviews of vendors and printers, etc.
i'd love to be able to give a nice picture to special person who modeled for me rather than just a web address to look it up or a disc so they can go out an get a print of it somewhere. also i'd like to start a portfolio or a book to collect some of my favorite images to browse through or show to others.
i want to start learning the art of "the presentation". |
