I'm a nut for statistics and follow the numbers. This led me to a few accounts of which I question the validity.'
One such user registered with DPC on 4/16/2004. The person has voted in two challenges so far. In the first challenge s/he cast 72 votes for an avg of 3.9583, or a total of 285.
The person again voted in the Proportions challenge casting 92 votes with an average of 3.21, or a total of 296.
The persons avg now is 164 votes avg of 3.5427, total of 581.
I suspect the account is a dupe used in an attempt to manipulate the vote, but for discussion let's proceed as if it was legit.
What on earth motivates a person to register with DPC and come only to partially vote in challenges with an average vote of 3.2?
Is it safe to assume the SC/Admins are monitoring this account? |

No... not safe to say that.
But it is safe to say that the automated "vote scrubber" will disregard any votes that it is programmed to see as "malicious". Those votes are simply disregarded when computing the challenge results, but the actual vote statistics of that particular user are not adjusted. |
