I didn't even have a chance to see the image. One minute Mavrik was in second, and now he's gone.
What was the photo, and what happened?

I just noticed that too. So fast I cant even remember what it looked like. Perhaps it was a mistake.

I saw it too. I clicked on it to view the full size picture, then when I went back to the home page it vanished. Editing issue? It was an awesome shot. |

Yeah - well, I was.
SC had my dq proofs for 6 days and chose to act 5 mins after ribbons were awarded. Damn, give a guy a chance to get a screen shot before he gets robbed.
I submit proofs that are now in my portfolio - showing that I took the shot within the date. Exif is ALL that matters, NOT COMMON FUCKING SENSE.

It was a snail on a red road. I had given the shot an 8 in the challenge and had also entered a DQ inquiry the first day of the challenge. I have studied snails and worked with them while at the Science Center and thought that the shot was either one heck of a lucky shot or the snail was entered another way. To catch a snail out like that, full body with head up is extrodianary and I really was hoping it was a lucky catch. Now I don't know.
