Take a shot that could be a movie poster, doesn´t matter if it´s for a small indie film or a Hollywood blockbuster.
I think this should run under the expert editing rules, haven´t had one of those in a LONG time, unless I missed it. |

Lárus, do you mean for a real, existing title or movie, or just something that looks like a movie poster photo? It would make a difference. Also, with or without lettering? The former could get complicated! |

We had a Movie Titles II back in May 14 2008 - May 20 2008 (Basic Editing)
Then we had Movie Titles back in Jan. 5th 2005 - Jan. 11th 2005 (Basic Editing)
Then Movies back in Jul. 28th 2003 - Aug. 3rd 2003 (Classic Editing)
I think a movie poster challenge would be good but it should be advanced or expert, although it was mentioned sometime ago that expert wouldn't be around here anymore I guess because there is too much confusion. It should also be a movie that does not exist already, all our others are movies that are real and who can get closes to the original, that's boring and non creative, lets make new movies here. Let your creativity shine through.
Oh and suggesting a challenge a day before a rollover usually means it gets thrown into the pot and usually gets picked for rollover. So more than likely this will be another basic editing challenge. Booo hoooo.

Are you talking about doing something like:
DPC Cinema Challenge
or
DPL Album Cover Challenge (but for movies obviously)? |

Of course I mean something brand new, where is your sense of creativity? Besides both movie titles and movies challenges are totally different than what a movie poster should look like. |

Why not take your favorite book and make a movie poster from it or make a movie poster parody... |

I can't speak for Dirt_Diver, but I asked for clarification, I didn't suggest a preference. In addition to bumping your original suggestion, my point was that unless you spell it out, you'll have people imitating famous movie posters the same way they imitated movie scenes in other challenges. Or you'll have both types of entries and voters with different criteria. It was a reasonable question. |
