I just noticed that my D60 just went over the 10,000 image mark on Sunday, it took me a while to figure it out. The last few images I took on Sunday kept showing up first in the folder list in my thumbnail viewer, then i looked closer and the file numbering had started over at 0001 :). Is it time to have a party for my camera or something???

10,000! - Wow!
I have taken a modest 2823 images since I bought my 300D 6 months ago. Imagine what that would have cost in film and devloping!?!

I've had my 300D since late January and just took 5623. There is no way I could have taken and developed that many film pictures. My first camera was a Kodak Brownie box camera (yeah, I'm older than dirt). I am thankful every single day for digital technology. I must admit, however, that it is still magical for me.
Congrats on this milestone!! I'm going to catch up with you as soon as I can. |

I have had the D60 just over a year and I did my first sensor cleaning a few weeks ago, but I guess I did it wrong and I had more specks than before i cleaned it. I just recleaned it the other night and now I only have 2 specks Vs. the 9 or 10 before

I just hit 20,000 on my 2 year old G2! I sure wish Canon would add another digit or two to the numbering! I always have to use Breeze to rename the files before my raw archiving, since that way I can always tell for sure that photo 20322 is backed up, rather than being confused about photo 0322, which I would now have three of!
By the way, if you use Breezebrowser, you should check out the batch renaming function. If you use a pattern like:
20%d Bridge 2%r
You will end up with a series of photos named like:
20040504 Bridge 21217.CRW
Which isn't a bad way without having to rename them all individually. But I also wish Canon would addess the 32 character file name length limitation (which is why it only says bridge in there!) |

Just tonight I hit 10,000 on my D100... almost as exciting as watching your car rollover at 100,000 :-D
