You all know me the proud mom...the one who makes Kathie Lee Gifford look bad...lol Anyhow had to tell you all I went to school today to see the second grade presentation of Old MacDonald Had A Farm eeee i eeee i oooops.
First I have to give my review of the play. The sets were perfect considering the inexperience of second grade parents at designing sets (maybe by the time they hit seniors we will have it all figured out) The costumes were also very nice and my hat goes off to the four mothers who sewed 46 shirts in various colors for the children to wear. The actors however were darling. Beyond the jitters of Kindergarten Graduation and the first grade 100th day celebration screw ups these children performed in there first real drama presentation like pros.
Little boo peep was magical finding her sheep. The mixed up cow was hilarious trying to learn to moo and not cluck. The piggies were simply cute like piglets can be. But the sheep oh they were my favorites. I still can't figure out why mine was chosen to be a sheep but he was a very good lost sheep wondering on the stage aimlessly. Maybe he got to be a wondering sheep cause he is always moving around.
Overall it was an excellent first presentation for this group of children it was a cross between Mary Had A Little Lamb and a really bad episode of Hee Haw. LOL good thing it was only 20 minutes long.
Anyhow I wanted to share a photo of the lost sheep...

That's great! I always try and go to those kind of things whenever one of my younger siblings or friend's kids are in them. Those costumes are impressive IMHO.
I still remember doing this kind of stuff. I was so serious about it. And whenever I look at pictures or video of it, it is much smaller than I remember it being, and I thought for sure I looked exactly like a bird! Somehow construction paper connected by strings and straw doesn't have the effect I remember it having ;)

Proof positive that boys and girls just operate on different levels.
