My wife, her sister, and brother purchased my father-in-law a 7" widescreen photo frame. The resolution is 480x234 pixels. They also gave me about 3000 digital photographs of various sizes ranging from landscape to portrait and everything in between. Most are from digital cameras but some have been scanned from old film.

Are they a way I can put all those photographs in a folder and do a bulk re-size using Photoshop? If so how do I do that. If I load the pictures the way they are now, they are larger than the screen size and most of the picture gets cutoff.

Thanks in advance.

create a photoshop action to do this.

Here's what I would do:

in Bridge, select all the landscape photos (using Filter), open one and record the action resizing to the desired size, and saving to the desired location.

Repeat for the portrait oriented photos.
