Because you didn't expand on what you had said to infer that it was the above reason that you were referring to. People cannot read minds....and many took it the way we did, so that in itself says that you didn't explain yourself to well in your opening post.

I'm not sure where you have been for the recent past but I thought this was a fairly clear nod to Irene's amazing run of water droplets, sorry i was unclear however how we ended up with this type of comment based on what I said;
"Good lord with your reasoning we shouldn't take photos of abandoned cars either since 2 of those ribboned. This is the craziest thing I've heard of."
I have carefully reviewed my original post and i still don't see where I reasoned that we should not take this type of photo, I seem to have been reasoning that we may see an uptick in the number of fire and match shots based on Irene's most recent win she being the harbinger of what is new fresh and interesting(at least sometimes) here on DPC.
Irene is obviously the resident EXPERT at amazing water drops, and she just won a challenge with a match shot, who else could I have been refering to? now my comments have lead to a string of insinuations about my motives based on something I did not say.
