I was setting up a shot the other day and my SB600 slipped off a stool onto the floor. Now the flash doesn't fire. The unit itself works fine, it just doesn't fire. You can here it charge, work the controls, ect. I am thinking that the actual bulb?, not sure if that would be the right term, broke. Has anyone had this happen and had it fixed? Just wondering what it might cost as I don't have a camera shop real close to me.

Probably a dumb question, but are you sure it is charging enough to fire? Couldn't be the batteries, could it?

Not the batteries. I installed fresh ones to be sure.
