This should be pretty interesting. Just to be better than the average shot, your photo will need to score better than more than 200 other entries.

So, good luck everyone, and an advance congratulations to the ribbon winners. This will be a bigger than normal achievement.

Best

Thank you.

Yikes, 447 entries. That'll be a good two hour voting session later on. The last 20-30 or so can expect some less than nuanced comments I think :-)

I'm bummed... my Rust entry, which I think is way better than both my Abstract AND most of my earlier entries, is sitting at <4.5!!!

Waaaaaaaaah!

Still.... I like it!

erm, that gives you 6 seconds to vote on each! it would probably take most people that long just to chalk up a 20% in order ot have their votes be registered... Perhaps, with numbers such as these, the 20% requirement should be reduced pro-rata - i mean wouldn't 10 or 12% be sufficient to generate a large enough spread?

Not sure how you count here my friend, but 2 hours x 60 mins x 60 secs is 7200 secs. 7200/447 is a slight bit above 16 seconds. I haven't started my voting yet, but I guess 15 seconds / image would be enough. Some you look at a long time, but some by necessity just passes by with an average vote. Can't spend a minute on each image - at least not if I'm gonna pretend to have a life too :-)
