The Abstract Motion challenge has exactly twice as many entries (138) as the Language challenge (69).
I guess we're just more moved by it? Or is it a communication problem?

Groan!!!!!!!!!!
Abstract is such a tricky concept, if you don't get it just right it could bomb with the voters. Language is a harder thing to portray in a photo. I went with language. I actually shot 2 ideas, had the 1st one in for 4 days before I pulled it, it's just boring! Then I submitted something a bit more interesting. Just hope it's "language" enough for the voters. |

Cool. I entered language so there's hope to break the top 100 then :) |

Dang! My internet was down all day! Eccchhhh.
I liked doing the abstract motion. Its like water drops I guess. Each shot is a surprise in the monitor.
I backed out of language because of the basic editing rules. I was going to do a Mime but the make up wasnt working. Its warm here in KY now and the make up was either caking up or melting. hahah. A studio would have been nice but oh well. One more little dream. I just couldnt fix the problems with basic editing and took about 500 shots. The shoot was fun anyway so it wasnt all time spent for nothing.
So I put on my abstract thinking cap and I really like my entry for that. I shot all kinds of things and then I remembered something I had put away in my props box and I got the shot. I am hoping to stay in the 6s as I have been but I dont know.
I think we are all going to be a little ink-blotted out looking at all of these entries though. hahah.

what a bizarre description for the language challenge. I can just imagine the ribbon-hounds scratching their heads over these challenges! I love it. |
