Hello,
I have a Sayno xacti waterproof video cam. Works very well, even underwater. However, I use it on the back of a jetski to capture the kids on the "tube". Needless to say, there is lots of bumping going on. When I slow down in Adobe Premiere...of course it is slow but not REAL slo motion.
There is another Xacti that shoots in 60fps. It says "shoots and plays back" at 60fps. If I shoot at 60fps and then play in Premiere at 30fps...would the slow motion be better or the same as my previous example?
Thanks |

Not sure how premire decodes the video. But I do know when you do this with some programs if the film is recorded at 60fps the program will just drop every other frame for playback at 30fps. So quality does not decrease or improve.
I have shot video of my dogs playing out in the back yard at 10,000 fps and slowed it down then compared it to video of the dogs shot at 60fps. Both clips were aprox 30 seconds realtime, I slowed them down to 2 minutes.
To be honest there was not a noticable difference in quality, a bit more detail in the snow the dogs were kicking up but basically looked identical. I think for 10,000fps to be effective you need to be shooting very fast action, Like explosions or bullets, Myth Busters type of stuff.
the short answer to your question is probably the same.
