Some of you may know I work for the US Environmental Protection Agency. We're in our second year of recognizing good work in celebration of Earth Day. On our Web site, we actually do a whole month of activities, and we start looking for good stuff a little before April 1.

Last year, we ran a photo contest that yielded nearly 750 entries, several DPCers were finalists, and Alex Saberi won one of the categories: //www.epa.gov/earthday/photoproject/winners.html

This year, we're doing an open-ended photo project where we'll feature a photo each day in each category: //www.epa.gov/earthday/photoproject/index.html

We're also doing a video project: //www.epa.gov/earthday/videoproject/index.html
