When DPChallenge hit the milestone of 500 challenges I created a mosaic of all 500 blue ribbons.
With the major milestone of 1000 challenges I decided to do it a little different. Instead of just the ribbon winners I have created (almost finished) a mosaic of all valid entries in the 1000th challenge; that's alot of layers in CS3. The large file is over 1GB. Each tile is the thumbnail of each picture and this time they are not skewed or resized. It's almost completed; a few more hours of work. I can't wait to see what the finished product will look like so here is a preview.
Edit: I will post when complete. The new version is looking even better than I could imagine. Just one problem, its taking longer. But it will be worth it.
I should have it finished in a day or so. I have been working on it since before the challenge ended.
Congratulations to everyone that participated in DPChallenges.com 1000th Challenge.
Scott

You're totally nuts, you do know that, don't you? (But in a good way, of course!)
It's really interesting how some of them jump out even in that small size :)
Nice work! |

Shush!!! She may hear you :)
I'm a stay a home dad so she already has a long honey-do-list everyday for me. And keeping up with a 20 year old and a 16 year old, ouch! I will put it this way, a man does not know how hard a woman's work it (if she is a stay at home mom) until he does it. It's not fun nor easy. (The last statement is encase my wife sees me typing this I will stay out of the dog house.) :P |

Let me pull up the large file and I will tell you where it is. It takes the large file about 3 or 4 minutes to load. |

Edit: BB your entry is about 2/3 down from the top and 2/3 from the left.
When finished I will try to load the full size image online so everyone can view the actual thumbnail sizes 120x.

Constructive criticism:
There are a handful of photos that are overlapping in the bottom left area (where my photo is located). Any chance of moving some of the photos to the empty spaces you have left over? |

It will take me about another two days are so to complete. When finished no photographs will be overlaping, there will be a small space between each thumbnail size photograph. I posted this (incomplete version) today to see what it would look like and to get some input.
When finished it will be in a print size version ( 20" x 20" ) at 192dpi. I cannot sell it on dpcprints because I don't have the permission from all the photographers. However after it's completion, with permission, I could put it on dcprints at a price of $0.00. That way if anyone wants the print version all they would have to pay cost that DPCprint charges.

Found Mine. Starting from the top right corner, go down 11 images and then go 5 photos to the left and voila.
Fantastic job Scott... you have outdone yourself.
