Hi, we are looking for the best option for lighting a white backdrop for portrait work. We have the Bowens GM500 set which is great. When shooting stock on a white background we just use one to light the subject and one to light the background. This is fine for stock but it does require some editing to clean up the uneven lighting on the white. As this is a large job ( school formal/ball/prom) we want a set up that doesn't require hours of editing after the shoot.
We really don't have thousands to spend, so are looking for a relatively inexpensive way to successfully light the backdrop. Any advice would be welcome.
We are in Australia and the shoot is in two weeks so that kinda limits where we can purchase from as we have to allow for postage time.
Thanks in advance.

| Strip lights bottom and top? Should be able to blast the thing and not have any gray areas to deal with in post. |

that was exactly what I was going to point to.
my husband set me up some lights and a backdrop based on this tutorial. My results weren't as good as his, but I got some good shots out of it. very clean background. |
