There were an awful lot of requests for the story behind my entry in the hidden gems challenge.



I have posted the details, along with additional photos in the comments section of the entry.

And the short story - everyone came out of it unhurt.

What is weird is it seems like no one was phased. hahhaahah. They are just looking and not running or freaking. At first I thought this was some kind of statue at a beach because of that. Now its even more weird. hahah.

I wonder what went into the pilot's decision to crash land on a busy beach, where he/she may have killed pedestrians, versus ditching out in the water.

Same thing that went into the decision to park it propeller first in the earth I imagine - "shitttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He flew along the surf looking for a place to ditch. Just as he passed me, he turned and started to descend. He obviously knew that Nobody was on that part of the beach.
