I selected the photos in Lightroom that I want to edit in Photoshop. I go to Photo>edit in>Photoshop. It says at the upper right that it is preparing the files but after 20 minutes, nothing has happened. Any ideas? |

Has it worked before? Have you tried it with a single photo? any problems there? Let me try it myself here and see how long it takes.

I just use the CTRL+E function but only use it on 1 photo. To edit multiple photos I just export them as "whatever you want" then edit them separately. |

How many photos did you select and how much RAM do you have?
All photos will be opened in PS before you can do anything. |

i tried 6 at first (trying to do HDR) but then I tried just 1 and it still didn't work. I've never done it on my home computer, only in class. |

OK Leah, what ver of Lightroom and Photoshop are you running?
What you could check is in EDIT -> PREFERENCES then EXTERNAL EDITING, make sure it is seeing the correct version of Photoshop in the top box..
If not, maybe you could point to your version using the "Additional External Editor" box.. But lets cross that bridge when we get to it.. |

Have you made sure your CS2 was up to date? There was a known issue with LR opening CS2 and CS3 using that command. I remember I had to do a pretty big update to fix it. Perhaps try it, or search adobe FAQ's. I think that is where I found it.

Better yet, if its a laptop, if you come to the bay area GTG on saturday, bring it over... more eyes = quicker fix :-)
