Does anybody know if Joey L did the photos for the new Star Trek that is coming out? The one on Star Trek.com looks like his handy work. I would almost wager that it is his work.

Why not?

the pics in the links don't look like his stuff. Lighting isn't what I would associate with Joey.

It looks like the work of a guy whose name escapes me but once I remember I will ETA.

Joey Lawrence did it just because it looks like his work??

I doubt it, I mean, do you know for sure? I'd like to thank you for posting the photos anyways, I am a HUGE TREKKIE!!!!

I love the new Romulan look, they finally look scary now since the Romulan is the fallen Vulcan.

I'll ask him the next time I see him on IM, but I doubt this is his stuff...

I agree.

Zigzag, he didn't say Joey DID do it, he was asking.

And Rugman, because some of us are interested in the careers of fellow DPCers. Is there anything wrong with that?

Man, I really don't know what's up here lately. If others are mentioned for articles in magazines, etc. the thread is filled with excitement and congrats. Mention Joey and the sour grapes sprout madly!

Who Cares?

It is widely known that I have a man crush on Joey. His work is the only reason I took up photography in the first place. So...

I care. Besides those photos are awesome.

Yeah, I don't really get that. I'm not what you'd call a groupie, but you've got to admire what he's accomplished. Has anyone read his blog about his trip to Africa? Pretty cool stuff.

OMG! Im in tears from laughing.

I had the pleasure of meeting Joey at the DPC GTG in Calgary and I must say he is one stand up guy. His personality is as good as his photos and I wish nothing but the best for him in the future no matter how jealous I get if him lol.

I think that there are lots of people that are jealous of him becoming so popular so quick without paying the typical dues that others might have had to.

I don't want to do this for a profession, so I really don't care who has had success. I could care less if somebody makes a million doing something that I can do. Therefore I am all cool with the fame and success of those like Joey.

If I find somebody else whose images inspire me I will have a man or woman crush on them too.

Here's another question if you're back in touch with him. Did he shoot just the Twilight movie poster, or many of the other promotional items? I see books and other posters and so forth with shots that look to be in the same general style as the poster, and I've wondered if those were his.

If Joey makes a million doing this I'll have to track him down, kick him in the shins and run away. Of course he'll have hoards of security who will hunt me to the ends of the earth and exact a horrible retribution for kicking him in the shins. Hmmmmmm, maybe I'll just track him down and say "Way to go Joey." then walk away mumbling.

Check out 50-Across in Monday's online crossword ...

... the theme and some of the other answers seem to fit as well. ;-)

The black and white posters of this movie look awesome! If I ever venture into portraiture, Id try to emulate that style, very nice stuff, not too tonal, instead appearing grayish overall, with little B/W although a black and white image.

Take a look
