hehehehe with all the buzz on the 1000th, it sure looks like everything else is getting neglected.

Bonus, only 19 shots in HOPE II, and only 2 days to go!

If everyone else is too busy to enter and you put in a shot, you'd be guaranteed top 20!

Not bad huh?

ps. this advertisement was not paid for by anyone, but it might be added incentive for all y'all to remember that there is opportunity for tie-in with the ROSEBUDDIES side challenge.

Do the votes and comments on 1000th, but don't let your cam get too dusty!

You can always keep commenting after the challenge is over too!

I have an idea that I think would do well but I don't have a model. Also, the shoot would take place outdoors and it's freezing here today!!!!!

Karen bring that idea to California and will warm you up!

I've got the same problem, and I'm in Virginia! Cold, wet, rainy which isn't too good when you're borrowing a neighbor who's already sat through your first attempt. *sigh*

I plan to be in it also but am waiting for the right time to snap it. Hopefully I make the deadline.

It's SNOWING here and I'm north of you! I get dizzy from the temperature bouncing so often between 20 and 70 this time of year.

Karen,

Drive down to Northern New Hampshire and I'll be your model. Unfortunately it's freezing here too, and I'm ugly to boot). *grin*

My muse has not visited me for the Hope challenge. Drawing a blank. Not even a good way to shoehorn my shoehorn into this one.

I have an entry for HOPE. I really like it, but my wife doesn't think it's exceptional. And, she pointed out an obvious compositional deficit. She's usually right, but I have hope that others will appreciate an artistic effort from me over an image with above average technical attributes. LOL!!!! Guess I'll go for the self actualization over score.

It's usually always like this. There will be at least 80+ entries in both challenges come rollover.

I'll guess 124 entries in hope

Last night I brainstormed some ideas for the Hope challenge. I got five or six decent concepts, though I doubt any are surprising or original. They would also be a challenge (!) to execute.

Oh dream ON! I have a whole POTFOLIO filled with failed (in the DPC-score sense) attempts at "artistic efforts" that were hammered in the polls by cookie-cutter images with "above average technical attributes." You're doomed, I tell ya, DOOMED! All yer base are belong to trolls!

LOL!!! Well said. Yes, I'm measuring the thickness of my skin today. I think this will test my mettle, which has been tempered by the fire of competition here. (pun intended)

Heh. if you can handle the thrashing that scores are getting in Hidden Gem for your treasured shot of whatever it may be, you can handle anything...

And there's always something to the learning experience... Who knows, you might even inspire someone else by your image. Looking at the thread on 5 most inspirational whatever on DPC, many of the images chosen did very poorly in the challenges especially when considered in the light of the potency of the images shown.

I shot on Monday but haven't gotten around to finishing editing yet, so I'll be in... probably... maybe...:)

Shoot him with one of those longhandled ones, hoping to be that big when he grows up? :)
