was retained last night by a local charity to take pictures of their guests at a costume party function. I would sell them snapshots of themselves which my g/f and I printed out of a back room on my puter. The charity got 70% and us 30.
Tried selling one of the shots to the local paper. The editor liked it so I figured that was an extra $25 for nothing. But he can't use it unless I give him specific info from the charity prez. And she's not answering her phone.
Pardon my redundancy, but damn, damn, damn!

:( that's too bad! I hope the rest of it was at least profitable enough..
Would be nice to have one published though

Make sure your agreement with the charity allows you to sell/use those photos ... absent any other specific agreement it is possible that you have a "work-for-hire" situation where they own the copyright to the photos. |
