Hey guys,

I was asked to do headshots (corporate I believe) and I've never done them so I'm looking for tips.

Thanks!

Check out this headshot gallery by lovethelight for some great examples.

I believe a reflector is key.

Hi mezzo,

Thanks so much for the link. My client said she'd need a formal one (in a suit jacket or black) and one more "clinical" in her lab coat...not quite sure what she does for a living yet but I asked her so I can get a better feel...for the clinical one, I'm thinking a white/grey/black backdrop would work the best, but for the more formal one, do you think an outdoor shot (with perhaps a brick wall in the back) would work?

I think that for both, a solid more studio backdrop would be what she is looking for. I would ask her though, because she has the best idea of the look she is going for. If it were up to me I would stick to the studio though.

We're going to meet in her office which has "cool colored walls" and some "cool chairs" so I could probably take some interesting, yet formal, shots.
