I'm looking to learn simple animation techniques to teach to high schoolers. Eventually would like to learn flash. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to start? Its a little overwhelming with all the possibilities that are out there. |

I use Adobe ImageReady to make animation clips. It came bundled with Photoshop CS2. It's easy to use. I was able to make my first animations without referring to the online help.
There are tons of other animation/video editing applications available too. Some are shareware, some are free, and some are commercial products. I like ImageReady because it integrates well with Photoshop.

For high-schoolers who - I assume - don't have Photoshop, just have them prepare each image in the sequence, then import them to www.gifninja.com. It will do the rest.
I believe there is a limit on the number of images you can incorporate, but you can look that up and work around it. |
