Paul, very well done. I'm struck by the presumed quality of the negatives. I'm still learning.

Thanks Alex. It's interesting. The 'expired' look is actually one that appeals to me. Maybe because I have an expired look myself these days, alas. |

Just an interesting link for followers of our film forum thread:
"Why I Shoot Film" by Steve Coleman, a landscape photographer.
Seems like a sensible, thoughtful blogger; he does of course have the considerable advantage of being an Australian. |

Thanks Paul, it is truly beautiful work. I hope it inspires a few more to try film. I particularly like his view that the camera is only a small part of the vision. I don't know how many times I've heard this from those who produce outstanding artworks. |

I keep stopping by to see what's going on. Made me wonder why I haven't renewed my membership....
Having fun with instant film from The Impossible Project.

Tom, added details for this image. Camera is a ZeroImage Multiformat (6x6,6x9,6x4.5) medium format pinhole. Aperture is f/235. |

Tom, you asked about the Spectra. No luck this weekend. Here's the first exposure though to give you an idea. Unimpressive, but I'll keep trying.

This guy's exposing Instax 210 in a 4x5 and developing it with... a rolling pin:

Wow, that is wild.
Here is an image from the maiden roll of my new to me Mamiya C22. Developed in Rodinal 1:100, 10 seconds of agitation initially, then 2 inversions every 2 minutes for 20 minutes @ 68F. I thought less agitation would help get more detail out of the ocean as the sun is in the frame. Negatives were a bit underdeveloped, corrected in Lightroom/Nik Silver.

My wife Tania in labor 31 years ago. Leica IIIf, 50mm f/2.8, Ilford HP5, good old D76.
From my brief stint doing freelance photojournalism in the 90s. Nikon F3, 200mm f/4, I think this was Tri-X and D76. The photo editor said this was too "artsy" to print in the paper.
Our younger son Roger, circa 1994, as Mom finished cutting his hair. Leica M5 I think, 90mm f/something, also HP5 and D76 I think. |

Another shot from the same wrestling tournament. I always thought this was hilarious because of the illusion that one wrestler's body is going through the other.
One more. My profile photo is a self-portrait I did around 25 years ago. Nikon F, probably, and Agfachrome.
