Hey, just in case...a friend sent this to me as we are going to go out and try shooting with some old 4x5 cameras!

There is even a developing PDF for the films. :) I am going to make this next year a great year, so starting with "sharing". Hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a wonderful 2012. ~Kat

Happy bidding on the EOS 5 (and heartfelt commiseration on the theft of your camera bag). Medium format is the s#*t. ;)

An interesting bit on the Corbis photography repository. The link on the page to the CBS video is worth following as well. Some pretty neat images in the video.

Committed to the Photo of the Week Side Challenge for 2012, with a theme of "Abstract Polaroid." Maybe I will actually follow through this year. :/
Also getting ready to start souping my own B&W again, so hopefully will have some more stuff to post here soon.

Some more "Polaroids" (actually, Fuji), but not abstracts.

Going to begin home-developing my 35mm and 120 B&W again. Had to replace some of my old chemicals and new stuff is on its way. Hoping to take over the bathroom and get some done this weekend. Not sure the wife is pleased.

Well, at least you have your priorities straight.

Starting to do my own black & white developing, and the first thing that comes to mind is . . . why haven't I been doing this all along!?! It's relatively easy - just like following a recipe - and quite satisfying.

Yeah. Black and white is fun...color can be a nightmare. Especially when you're stuck in a 5' by 5' room with 4 other people and someone accidentally turns on their enlarger...oh the mass chaos.

From last fall. I don't recall the developer, although the streaking and uneven development are hints that this was one of my early attempts with Caffenol. I now input the development notes into the metadata when scanning.

Can you quote on why you think the streaks and uneven development indicate caffenol? I'm looking to use caffenol myself and want to develop it as much as I can beforehand as possible...

I don't get streaking and uneven development now, see links below. I believe this roll was one of my first attempts at stand development with Caffenol CL, and I stopped after three rolls as all three had areas of uneven development.

stand development post. See the August 25th, 2011 entry. The added agitation eliminated the streaking/uneven development.

I use these recipes, although I don't see the need for the CH version. I like the semi-stand described above, and use it for all speeds now.
