A old shot from my Mamiya DSX1000B and Mamiya 135mm f2.8 telephoto. Sadly the camera is out of action now but I do have a Canon EOS5 but not taken anything recently with it.
And one taken with my Mamiya 55mm f1.4

It was an upside down day today. And my model now charges $2.50 per shoot.

Last thursday I had my first vernissage in our very own atelier which is located in an old factory in leipzig.
We have 30 photos on exposition (20 of my own and 10 from a different photographer taken in 1992, all about gypsies) of which three are 30x40cm hand developed b&w prints! Took me a whopping 7 hours to get those right, and with all the test exposures and developing failures I ended up with 3 fullsize sheets (Ilford multigrade pearl) left for the remaining fullsize prints, so that last but crucial part left me with a bit of an upcoming heart attack (it was the evening before the vernissage)! But finally I managed to get those right and the final prints look awesome!
So anyway, if you happen to get near the East of Germany you're welcome to stop by and check it out!
Photos coming soon! |

Took my brother-in-law fishing. I caught the walleye on the left. :-)

GUYZ. DIANA MINI. I AM IN LOVE.
Images hosted on facebook, not DPC - thumbs link to individual image files.
also: holga + studio = magic. straight up.
I gotta scan that last one - it's probably the best shot I've taken all year. that version has the ghost of my arm (reflection).
And two slides, just for fun -
I have some 120 slide film - gotta play with that sometime soon...holga color, heck yes.

I haven't had a chance to look at the big one - and the mini isn't mine, it belongs to a friend. I borrowed it for a week or so. gotta wait till september to print the rest - darkroom's at school...
which, by the way, good for you for making a darkroom. words cannot describe how jealous I am right now. |

Clark and I really struggled at the Museum of Contemporary Art. These images on the wall 'made sense', But some of the other stuff, like this, was more difficult to get our heads around.

Oh... so many to choose from! I have a Bronica SQ aI I picked up on the auction site awhile back. Love the square format. I wish I had a Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) like an old Mamiya too. Cost will be the biggest factor of course. Watch APUG classifieds, *bay of course. Check KEH used film cameras. Something good should pop up for under $200. It likely will not have a light meter, but "Sunny 16" works just fine. Or use your digital to get a reading. But really, why don't you just make the leap to large format? You know you will end up there anyway, right? A decent 4x5 Crown Graphic press camera will cost about the same as a medium format. And you can add a 120 roll film back to boot (but those just seem a bit pricey for some reason). Good luck! T.

OH MAN don't tempt me with large format. I can develop 120 film on my own...anything bigger might be a bit much. Although my college has been talking about a field trip to Arizona to play with 20x24 view cameras...which would be MINDBLOWINGLY INCREDIBLE, geesh, can you imagine??
I'm not bad at guessing exposure anyways.
I will keep my eyes open for sure. |

I just recently started to shoot film. Have never really shot film apart from P&S from years ago. Quite enjoying myself with this "new" medium :) One day I may even learn how to develop them myself :) These are from the NYC GTG in June.
