Looking seriously at the Nikon D70. Have lots of lenses I have been using with my 35mm camera. Will these lenses give good results with a digital camera?
Thanks

They will give beautiful results... they just will be a little longer then they are normally on your 35mm camera. the Digital lenses are the size they say they are on the digital cameras. I don't have a single digital lens yet... and I have gotten beautiful results.
Cheers!

You do not need "digital lenses". I own none. You may look at my portfolio if you wish for an idea of what shots could look like on a D70 with "non-Dx" lenses.

Because the sensor chip is not full frame, the image is cropped in your camera. The result is that the focal length of standard lenses will be multiplied by 1.5X on the D70 (ie. a 50mm lens on your film camera will be 75mm on the D70). The crop/multiplication factor on the Digital Rebel is 1.6x. |

There are some older 'before digital' lenses that wont fit on the D70, thought. |

Most of the Nikon F mount lenses will fit the D70.

Thanks for the replies. Ready to put a deposit on the D70.
Thanks to everyone again!
