Nice pics, nice to see some variation on composition, lighting angles etc work for me but lighting itself is too harsh - can you diffuse it by putting a thin white cloth over it?
Not keen on selective desat to give green eyes especially when rest of image is then sort of sepia toned...

i guess all i needed was a little motivational boost to you guys to keep posting.. but aside fomr the jokes.. i really appreciate the inputs.. and kavey. i think you have a point with the sephia tone and the selective coloring..and riggs, if i were to get a haircut and shave than i would look like every other modern human.. i would like to keep my neanderthal looks sometimes :) thanks , keep em coming..
ps: and by the way, i decided on harsh lighting and overexposure to give it a more evil look on purpose, so any comments on if i was succesfull or not...

I liked that your eyes were given color, adds some interest to the picture. I keep a 2-3 beard too, my wife prefers it that way! |

I like the first one best, the play of light and shadows together with the grain works well. |

I liked 1 and 3 best. 2 is my least fave. Did you bounce the flash off something or flash it straight on? Looks like the latter, and I think that makes it too harsh and resulted in your knuckles looking burnt out in the first (and best) pic.
If you get a chance, try reconstructing the third photo and the first one using a reflector to bounce some light on the dark side. Play around for a bit because I think I know the effect you are looking for and it might best be accomplished by lighting the dark side 2 or 3 stops dimmer than the light.
See, IMHO, the thing that makes picture 1 better than 3 is that you have somewhat better, fuller and yet more subtle lighting in the dark.

Although my long haired hippie had to cut his off some years ago...
