EOS 5D Mark II
When controlling the camera from the PC using the EOS Utility software - Remote shooting, everything works great.
But if I turn on the Remote Live View Shooting I can't trigger the flashes.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance

On my 40Ds in live view I can fire the 580ex2 on the hotshoe but i can't fire a PW on the hotshoe. So while the flash works, it's not working the same as in regular modes (non-live view).
I can't recall if I tested the PC port or not, but I would think I would have and if it worked I'd remember...so I suspect it doesn't work in live view either.
I have no idea why this is so, unless there is a setting in live view that would affect this. I know you can choose to have the LCD show two views - stopped down and not stopped - so perhaps you could try both options and see if it makes a difference.
It would be nice to have flash work in live view for macro work!

Try switching Silent Shoot to 'disable'.
