I propose to move the member challenge switchover day from Monday morning to Sunday morning.

If I have time, I already try to make a picture and submit during the week and then I have no challenge left for the weekend. (yes, addiction....)

Or, if I don't have time during the week, or I need daylight, I wait till the weekend, and then sometimes the weather is not suitable and I don't achieve the picture I had in mind.

If the challenge switchover is in the middle of the weekend, then there is always a challenge to work on in the weekend, or even two. On Saturday you can still work on the old one, on Sunday on the new one.

And since the Sunday and Saturday of the same challenge are now in different weekends, the chances on good weather (or at least different weather) have increased.

Any opinions ?

I'm not sure I get exactly what you mean but if the end date for submissions were sunday at 12am, we loose a weekedn day to take the shot. Breaking it up over two weekends gets to ne much for me at least. Normally, I will take my shots on Sunday. And often I work on Sats so that would suck! Plus when I do get to plan my shots out I take em during the week & have an opportunity to reshoot over the weekend.
At least for, the way it is works.

I like it the way it is. I usually pinder the challenge topic during the week and then have Saturday & Sunday to get the shot I want.

I think he's talking about Sunday in his time zone, if I'm not mistaken, and I usually am, a lot, LOL, he is across the international date line putting him one day ahead of us, so our Sunday is his Monday. Or is it Saturday for him? I'm so confused.

I do know the challenge ends on SUNDAY in my time zone, Sunday night/Monday morning 12 AM

Monday at 7.00 in the morning is switchover time for us central Europeans.

I like the current timing. But I would not be opposed to a third challenge being added that ends on Friday. That way there is a nice parallelism; the week is divided into thirds by challenge deadlines the way stops are split into thirds on most of our cameras. :D (only mostly joking)

A third challenge engind on Friday might be a good idea. With two challenges/week, I usually only have time to do one challenge. With three, basically, I'd very rarely have an entry in all three.

But if I am at all representative, it might serve to give everyone more choice on challenges, while simultaneously reducing the number of entries to vote on in a given challenge.

As for timing of existing challenges, having at least one challenge end on Sunday night EST works really well for me, as I have the week to plan, and the weekend to shoot and submit.

I wouldn't be opposed to having all challenges start and end at time, as I either take the shot on the weekend, or it generally doesn't happen.
