I am traveling to Paris next month with my 450D and would like to find a good wide angle lens to take with me. I have the following lenses that I will be taking:

50mm F/1.8
100mm F/2.8
70-300mm IS USM F/4.0-5.6
28-135mm IS USM F/3.5-5.6

I am looking for suggestions for the best additional lens to add to this mix for landscape shooting. Cost is a factor ~ $600 range is about my max.

Any help would be appreciated.

Consider the Tokina 12-24 f/4 and 11-16 f/2.8 as well.

There are a few you can look at.

The Canon EF-S 10-22 f3.5-4.5 USM is highly rated. I just bought a used one. I haven't got it yet, but it's on it's way. It's a little over your budget at $700.

My friend has the Tokina AF 12-24mm f4 and he loves it. It's around $500. If your wanting a fast lens, Tokina also make an 11-16 f2.8 for $550.

Other choices:
Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM
Tamron SP AF 11-18mm Aspherical Di II LD IF f/4.5-5.6

These are all in your budget except for the Canon

Hope this helps.

Another vote for the Tokina 12-24.

You can also check out the Sigma 12-24.
By the way, can others suggest which is the better of the two lens, Sigma 12-24 or the Tokina 12-24.

The Sigma works on full frame, but Sigma has pretty sketchy QC and the Tokina is a constant aperture, unlike the Sigma. Plus, the Tokina has awesome build quality and great optics, which I can't say about the Sigma (I've never used it, doesn't mean it has bad optics though).

I basically shoot solely with my Sigma... hehe

I love my Sigma 12-24, but I don't have an APS-C camera, or I'd get the Canon 10-22.

Another vote for the 10-22. I haven't tried the others, but the 10-22 gives me no reason to anyway.
