Can LCD monitors (the ones attached to your computer) get "dead" pixels?

Definately, as can all LCD displays. This is the reason LCD monitors/televisions are expensive many discarded due to dead pixels.

Hell Yeah!! My 3 month old 20" Apple Cinem Display has one I catch when certain colors are up. Just haven't had a chance to get it replaced (GOTTA HAVE MY DPC!!)

Worse than dead pixels, at least to me, is when your computer screen burns in images, which in my case is my seti screensaver :(
