So I was reading around about photographing moose. It's quite alot of them where I live, but I never see one when I have my camera with me. Anyway... I was reading around and suddenly stumbled over something in a Norwegian photoforum saying:
"Seeks volunteers to photograph at the 09 World Cup in Skiflying," something like that, had to translate it to English.
Obviously I sent the guy in charge a mail concerning this, only to recieve an automatic repiy that he was not available at the moment. This massive hill is only a 30 min. drive away from where I live, I get to photograph something that I am very interested in (at least try, and for free, yes, but whan an oppurtunity and experience this will be!), and maybe even standing alongside all the guys with massive fullframe cameras with 400mm lenses attached to a converter etc. I sent a mail to those who organize this instead, but I doubt they can and/or will help me out. I hope they can...
Lesson learned, and from now on I will always start my day checking sites like that! I will hate myself if I miss more chances like this... |
