Happy 1234567890 day!

To provide a little more info, the most common way of representing time in most computing systems is seconds since the epoch (Jan 1, 1970). And today, in about an hour and 20 minutes, the time will be 1234567890 seconds, according to most computers.

Here's a countdown website, listing all the "parties" happening around the world. =)

Also of note, it'll be the Year 2000 Bug all over again when this number exceeds the capacity of a 32-bit data type.

I watched it rollover and saw all the fireworks.

I Guess I'm a closet geek

Cheers

And by Feb 7, 2106, you mean January 19, 2038? :P

Oh oh oh! Nerd fight!!! :D

ETE (edit to explain) - 2106 would work if one changed time_t to unsigned, but that would break more than it's worth fixing. I'm not aware of any operating systems which have actually made that change. Except maybe BSD, but does that really count as an operating system any more? Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I said it! WHADDYAGONNADOOOOOOO?! :D
