Font Art - I Love You
It is often said that "I love you" is something said both too little and too much. It is easy to say but difficult to mean; it is a phrase whose complexity and significance is often lost in the simplicity of its words. The phrase "I love you" is a conveyance of vulnerability, acceptance, trust, compassion and understanding – all these beautifully complicated emotions are compounded cleanly and effortlessly into three simple words.
Edwin Loyola's artwork is an embodiment of all the consequences that are undoubtedly brought about by the utterance of "I love you." He mimics how love operates in real life. The picture draws you in at first, without you even realizing what exactly you are gazing at, until you look at the image a little closer. The realization that each and every dizzying line is an "I love you" phrase is astounding – immediately, you are brought to a place that is not bound by any time and space, so much so that you are, ironically, left speechless, despite the 12, 143 words dancing right in front of your eyes. The thousands of possibilities that these "I love you's" can bring mesmerizes you like an intriguing vortex, and creates an irresistible buffet of thought and feeling that leaves you flooded with color and promise. The intricate web of lines made up of these sweet words is indicative of the multifaceted tangle that love showers upon the lives of millions, and the marks (that seem to be various punctuation marks), especially the question mark, in the background seem to be in honor of the all the caution that is thrown to the wind once love is declared and shared between two.

Font Art - I Love You
questions that leads us no where,
made our hearts linger,
ask ourselves what we want,
and not force to do what we really can̢۪t.
looking forward to something,
find you and I just waiting,
to where will all this end,
when will our scar heal and mend,
here you are in an instant,
though I looked so resistant,
I am just being me,
acting as cautious as I can be.
is this what i truly asked for?
all i can see I a closed door.
i'll wait for acceptance is on its way,
before i finally have something to say.
love doesn't know how to ask,
never tried to predict the future nor the past,
spontaneous and surprising,
in the end it will always be fulfilling.
