I'm looking for active users who are using a low to mid-megapixel point & shoot camera as their only camera.
Let me know if you are aware of anyone.

Not my only camera, though it was for a while. I have a Powershot S5 that still manages to bring in some of my highest scoring shots. I think GeneralE uses a Powershot S3. BVY only used a subcompact Olympus until very recently.
Why are you looking for folks that use it as their ONLY camera?

I'm interested in the connection between interest and camera type. PM'd you.

I not only use my S3, but I still routinely take pictures with my 9 year-old Olympus D490Z. I think this is the latest entry taken with it:

Not sure if this would apply to to sort of data you are looking for but I am planning on ordering one of these Gigapan in the very near future and will be in the market for a new P&S camera probably something around 8-10 MP with a high quality zoom. |

Cool ... I've been tempted by those but can't afford the luxury right now. However, you can do an amazing amount (without the automated shooting) with just a panning tripod and AutoStitch; I'd encourage you to experiment with some big panos before spending another $1000.

Indeed. It was the mighty little C-7000 Zoom. I knew my way inside and out of that little camera, and everything on my profile page, short of the recent portfolio additions, was taken with it. I'm passing it on to my son -- in a manner similar to the way your uncle used to hand you a dollar bill but wouldn't release his grip.
I upgraded to a DSLR in Novemeber, and ironically, haven't broken a five with it yet. |
