Hmmm, the problem is, that if this challenge allows Apples (as in computers), then if there's a trash challenge, I'll have to pull out my trash-80 (otherwise known as trs-80 of course)

Maybe we should have a computers challenge. I know there have been several technology challenges, but has there been ons just for computers?

As far as this one goes, I will consider both a fruity apple and a silicon based apple to meet the challenge. The description does not specify fruit.

The description says to "creatively photograph an apple", not "an Apple".

Since the Apple brand of computers always starts with a capital "A", then I will be assuming that if the shot does not include an apple fruit, then it's DNMC.

Is this what everyone else thinks? It's clearly stated with a lowercase 'a'...

I'm with you on this one.

So it's a Free Study then?

In the spirit of the first 'Apple' challenge, Take an apple (the fruit, not a computer!) anywhere, do anything you like to it, but make the shot your own, I think it's obvious it's not supposed to be anything other than a fruit-based challenge.

Apple II description: creatively photograph an apple any way you see fit.

I don't see anywhere that it says "In the spirit of the first apple challenge creatively photograph an apple any way you see fit."

Anyway you see fit. An apple is an apple is an Apple.

In my way of seeing (which you are free to disagree with) there is no connection between the first and the second apple challenge descriptions.

why would someone even consider doing a photo of something technological rather then natural fruit in this challenge? seems kinda stupid unless shoehorning suddenly got a lot more popular

Well that's my fruit-based entry finished and uploaded.

It's as sweet as a Golden Delicious (but it will still score below average).
02/10/2009 02:03:25 AM · #47
Alrighty then...my "Apple II" entry (or should I say, "apple II") has been submitted. It is definitely not computer-related, but it is also not your everyday fruit.

02/10/2009 02:12:52 AM · #48
Neither is mine. I've gone for something different and a little tangental this time.
