No :( |
you had my email address wrong. It is .com not .org. If you want to try again. :)
EDIT: I tried to send you a PM again, but it says there was an error and it wouldn't go through. :-\
New problem I guess, any one else having PM issues?
Edit again: PM's are being strange, tried to send you a message three times, went to send a nonsense message to get the error and it went through. Pasted the original PM in the box and got the error message again. Wrote a fourth PM and it went through. Hope you get it this time.

Ok...so how do I get this code to work again? My profile is all screwed up. The one's I need help with should have a thumb image that is clickable to a url outside of DPC.
[ url=//www.whattheduck.net][ img]//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/30049/thumb/450473.gif[ /img][ /url]
I've changed the above line to the following, and the thumb shows, but the link text is displayed.
[ url=//www.whattheduck.net][ thumb]450473[ /thumb][ /url]
As Neil did, I also included spaces in the brackets to allow the code to display here...
And yes, I've cleared my browser cache, cookies, etc...using IE v6.
Originally posted by nshapiro: Just to clarify, if you starting doing your profile thumbs with this code a long time ago:
[ url=//dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=50362][ img]//images.dpchallenge.com/images_portfolio/12253/thumb/40301.jpg[ /img][ /url]
You don't have to do that anymore. And it was a problem because some of the folder names you see in the URLs had changed.
Now (and I'm told for the last two years) you could simply type:
[ thumb]50362[ /thumb]
I just fixed my profile, and changed those really long and obfuscated links to a delightfully short thumb notation!
I think it's great! (Note, I inserted some spaces above to prevent the code from being translated.) |

Ok. Figured it out. The portfolio numbering changed on all of the links. Had to put the thumb code in long enough to get the properties of the thumbnail, then use img tags in place of the thumb tags for url linked thumbs.
Phew! |
