Speaking strictly in legal terms, not whether or not this is morally Okay or if this is a good deal, but just legally speaking, would it be lawful to buy a used computer that has several programs on it, like Photoshop? Like a school is selling their last generation of Macs, and they still have all the software on them. Legal? No?
Thanks for the answers!

It's only legal to have/use that software if they also sell/transfer to you the software license too.
I say, get it anyway, but make sure you buy your own license/copy of that software before you use it to sell images.

The school that is selling the systems is setting themselves up for lawsuits if the computers have licensed software that they have site licensed or have obtained at educational rates (and then sell on the open market). If they are smart they will wipe the drives and reinstall the OS (which is licensed to the machine).
