I've been wearing mine around for the past few weeks and the the springiness hasn't really been an issue. It is soft and springy, but the camera never bounces around when I walk and it is very comfortable on the neck. |

It's paid customers only!!! That defeats the whole purpose or saying something is "free"
That's like saying you can have this free hat if you give us your credit card number, address and let us bill you each months for X amount of $ in an exchange to a membership to this website that's slowly moving toward becoming synonymous with iStockPhoto.

| Got mine as well. Probably a very successful promotion for them and they could no longer afford to give them to everyone. |

Holy old post batman.
I got my strap last year and love it. I'm not a paying member of smugmug either. They must have given too many free one out and changed the rules as of late.

I got my free one and its still in the package they sent it in. I wasn't thrilled with it and never bothered to use it.
