Okay, a quick question. I'm trying to get a picture under the 150kb limit and did my usual save as. The problem I ran into this time is that I had to go to ultra low quality (3) and it looked like crap. This way though it saves all the exif information. So I decided to do a save for web, but I checked the exif info afterward and it was all cleared except it had the shot date.

My question is, does all the exif info need to be in the submitted jpg, or does it just have to have the date? Any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ETA: I just noticed that my new jpg from save for web does not have the shot date in the exif. I have the original though if ever questioned in the challenge.

Should be fine with all the exif info stripped. The only file that needs to be complete is the original.

Your submission itself doesn't need to have ANY valid EXIF data. But you must retain the original, exactly as it came out of the camera. That's what we would use to validate a shot if necessary.

Thanks, that's what I thought but wanted to confirm.
