Any opinions on this program?

I've not used this latest version of photoimpact, but I've used several previous ones over the years. I find the software to be reasonably intuitive, on a par with paintshop pro or photoshop elements. They usually have a time/feature-limited trial, so download it and mess about...

Have recently reformatted my hd and (unfortunately) lost my copy of V6. Am now using ps 7 fulltime and whilst it is probably the best way to go, I miss the ease of ulead for basic editing/resizing. If you have the opportunity of a 30 day trial, go for it and tell us what its like :)

I have used the program. So far the work space is a lot different than Photoshop Elements2 still finding my way.it sure has more toys than ps elements 2.

i got a little itchy, so I downloaded the trial version to my work laptop.

It basically operates the same as ver 8 I have, but has a few new tools i REALLY like, as far as adjusting colors and correcting exposures....plus some other goodies

The sunlight tool is awesome, it fixed up a couple of poorly exposed photos I have on my work laptop.

im just might have to treat myself to the box version real soon, so watch out all you PS'ers & RAW file tweakers

Quote from May 2004 issue of Petersen's Photgraphic " The best part of PhotImpact XL is the price. You get a lot of bang for your buck with comprehensive solution. At a download price of $89.95 ($49.95 for an upgrade), PhotoImpact Xl is one of the most powerful and versatile digital editing programs available."

I've tried several versions of PhotoImpact. I loved the UI of the program, but it's very slow and buggy in some situations, or at least up to version 8 it was/is.

Test the "XL" version thoroughly before you buy. :) In my opinion Elements is much more stable (although I don't know about "XL" version).

If anyone wants a fully registered copy (download) of version 8 I'll sell it for $30. :)
