As a recent purchaser of a 1Ds can anyone tell me if it's possible to rotate portrait shots in-camera, or does the camera not have this feature? I upgraded from a 10D (which did) and I'd be a bit surprised if the 1Ds didn't have the same function.

The 1Ds does not have an orientation sensor.
