I've never shot a photo in black & white. Is it better to shoot it that way or change it in Photoshop?

I do all my B&W conversions in post processing. You never know, something just might look great in color. |

Thanks - thats pretty much what I was thinking to, but I wasn't sure if there was a detail that would be missing. Wish me luck. I can use all the help I can get!

You also have WAY more options as far as final appearance if you do the conversion in post processing; you can basically emulate any sort of filter yo might use when doing B/W with film, like a yellow filter, a red filter, whatever, and these all change the relationships of tones within the image. The difference can be startling, and it's fun to experiment with.

I'm looking foward to fooling around with this. I just got Photoshop and am learning with each photo. I will give the filter options a try and see what happens. |
