I have a 50 1.8mm lens for my d80 and I did a photoshoot with a guy in a black suit. For some reason a purple spot appeared on his pants.. I changed to a different lens and it didnt have that spot..its it ruined???

Were you shooting wide open or nearly wide open with a very white background? Can we see a sample?

I will look and see what aperture it was set on...Im thinking around f 5.6-8..But I did shoot against a white background...

Are you sure there wasn't a light shining onto the lens for that one shot that was moved before you did the shoot with the other lens?

It almost sounds like a lens flare that maybe the 50mm picked up that the other didn't. Just my guess.

It's the pants. The purple spot indicates when you've lost bladder control.

...lens flare would be my guess as well. Sounds easy enough to fix if the image is otherwise worth saving.
